Who it is for

Anyone: managers, office staff, professionals, operational and staff teams. No technical skills required.

Prerequisites

Basic use of a computer and browser. No programming or AI knowledge needed.

Why this course

Collaborate with generative AI effectively, critically and responsibly — whatever your role.

01

A method, not tricks

The 4-skills framework (Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence) gives you a repeatable grid for any AI tool, today and tomorrow.

02

Lab-heavy by design

Most of the time is guided practice on real cases: theory is kept to the essentials.

03

An operational kit that stays

Prompts, templates and checklists handed over as a reusable kit: you leave with tools ready for your job.

04

Responsible, safe use

Privacy, data security and output verification covered throughout, with GDPR notes.

Course objectives
  • Understand what generative AI tools are and how they work, without jargon.
  • Decide when it is worth using AI and when not (the Delegation skill).
  • Write clear, effective requests (prompts) — the Description skill.
  • Critically assess AI answers, spotting errors and limits (the Discernment skill).
  • Use AI ethically, safely and in compliance with privacy (the Diligence skill).
  • Apply AI to daily tasks with a ready-to-use kit of prompts and templates.
Expected learning outcomes

By the end, participants can independently integrate AI into their recurring work, recognise the main risks (hallucinations, bias, sensitive data) and own a structured method — the 4-skills framework — to tackle any new AI tool they meet in the future.

Detailed program

8 modules · 32 lessons

20 hours
Module 01 Understanding generative AI

Objective Build a correct mental model of what generative AI is (and is not), to use it consciously.

  • 1.1
    What generative AI is

Difference between traditional automation and generative AI; what a “language model” is; everyday examples (assistants, text and image generators).

  • 1.2
    How a model “reasons”

An intuitive take on text prediction; why AI is probabilistic and not a database of truth.

  • 1.3
    Capabilities and limits

What AI does well (summaries, rewriting, drafts, brainstorming) and where it fails (hallucinations, maths, recent facts, sources).

  • 1.4
    The tool landscape

Conversational assistants, tools built into business apps, multimodal generators; criteria to navigate them.

Module 02 The 4-skills framework (AI Fluency)

Objective Introduce the method that structures the whole course: the four skills for collaborating with AI.

  • 2.1
    Why you need a method

From random trial-and-error to a repeatable approach; what being “fluent” in AI means.

  • 2.2
The 4 Ds at a glance

Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence: definition and role of each.

  • 2.3
    The collaboration cycle

How the four skills interweave in a real workflow.

  • 2.4
    Initial self-assessment

Participants measure their current level on each of the 4 skills.

Module 03 Delegation — deciding when and how to use AI

Objective Learn to choose whether, when and how much to involve AI in a task.

  • 3.1
    What to delegate

Criteria to decide which parts of a task to hand to AI and which to keep.

  • 3.2
    The risk factor

Assess the impact of a possible error before delegating; low- and high-risk tasks.

  • 3.3
    Splitting the work

Break a complex task into steps the AI can handle.

  • 3.4
    Staying in control

The person’s role as supervisor and ultimate owner of the result.

Module 04 Description — writing effective prompts

Objective Acquire techniques to phrase requests that produce useful results.

  • 4.1
    Anatomy of a good prompt

Context, goal, desired format, constraints, examples; why clarity beats length.

  • 4.2
    Giving context and role

Give the AI the right information and “point of view” for the task.

  • 4.3
    Examples and format

Show examples of the wanted result; ask for output as a table, list, email, etc.

  • 4.4
    Iterate and refine

How to adjust with follow-up requests instead of starting over.

Module 05 Discernment — evaluating AI answers

Objective Develop the critical eye to tell when an output is reliable and when it is not.

  • 5.1
    Reading with a critical eye

Signs of a weak or fabricated output; don’t mistake a confident tone for correctness.

  • 5.2
    Fact-checking

Quick techniques to check claims, numbers and citations; when to demand sources.

  • 5.3
    The description-discernment loop

Use what you observe in the output to improve the next prompt.

  • 5.4
    Recognising bias

Stereotypes and distortions in answers; how to mitigate them.

Module 06 Diligence — responsible, safe, compliant use

Objective Ensure ethical, safe AI use that respects privacy and company rules.

  • 6.1
    Data and privacy

What never to put into an AI tool; personal, confidential and IP data; GDPR notes.

  • 6.2
    Accountability and transparency

Who is accountable for the result; when to disclose AI use.

  • 6.3
    Ethics and fairness

Avoid deceptive uses; respect others’ work and copyright.

  • 6.4
    Company policy

Build and follow internal AI-use rules.

Module 07 AI in everyday work

Objective Transfer the acquired skills to participants’ recurring tasks.

  • 7.1
    Communication and writing

Emails, reports, presentations, summaries of long documents and meetings.

  • 7.2
    Research and analysis

Summarising information, comparing options, first drafts of analysis.

  • 7.3
    Personal productivity

    Organising ideas, to-dos, brainstorming, translations.

  • 7.4
    Building your own kit

Create a personal library of reusable prompts and templates.

Module 08 Project work and final assessment

Objective Consolidate the whole path by applying the 4 skills to a complete case.

  • 8.1
    Project work briefing

Choose a real task to carry out end-to-end with AI.

  • 8.2
    Guided execution

Apply the 4 skills with the trainer’s support.

  • 8.3
    Presentation and feedback

    Share results and peer review.

  • 8.4
    Adoption plan

Define the next steps to bring AI into your daily work.
